Hmmm. Well in real life, they would’ve just been friends or more likely, just acquiantances (oof). If I can remember correctly, Berlioz sent a letter to someone as addressing to Mendelssohn’s recent death ((oof)) and saying that “he grieves for his death despite knowing little about him, and that he wished he could’ve known him more” (((o o f))) idk something along the lines of that (maybe i’ll quote it later if i find it again)

@thegurlygamer well i don’t remember how i originally found it, and now my tabs are removed automatically because i used incognito so now i lost it :(( BUT! it’s easy to find. First i typed out his surname in google translate to get the japanese letters and then copied it. I pasted it on the search box of pixiv, then that’s that :^)
