My answer to this depends if you want me to answer Academically Speaking™️ or just as a person enthused about history.

While I know that applying modern terms/labels for sexuality to people of the past is problematic™️ in some academic circles, i am not really here to speak with any authority nor would I consider my tumblr.hell page to be an Academic Setting. So I am going to be using modern phrases because, well, am just here for a laff x

That being said I do not have my copy of McIntosh’s biography on me at the moment, so I hope you forgive the lack of specific names and dates given.
